After missing celebrations in 2020 due to COVID, it was terrific news when the Lions Club of Emu Park bit the bullet and decided to go for it with its 36th celebration of this popular and traditional Bavarian folk festival. It is the season for Oktoberfest so dress to impress as a “best dressed” prince and princess will be selected. Be ready for a great day of dancing and entertainment with a fantastic lineup of talent. Entertainment will feature a powerhouse group of four – Mike Barber, Nathan Parker, Pete Neville and Scott Browne, each highly accomplished musicians, as the German party band “Sneaky Schnitzel”. Their program will include all the traditional Bavarian folk songs along with some great party hits. Also showcased will be the local dynamic and entertaining duo “Dawn and the Sax” who play a diverse range of music including soul, R&B, jazz, pop and rock. And, what’s a Bavarian celebration without traditional German sausages, kartoffelpuffers, apfelstrudel and imported biers. Prost! Raise your glasses to good health and good times. Come and enjoy the Oktoberfest experience. It’s a fantastic day not to be missed!
