Mary Carroll, as CEO, is responsible for the overall management of Capricorn Enterprise operations including marketing, development, events and visitor servicing. Mary brings a combination of destination marketing, membership, corporate governance and strong relationship building skills to the organisation and has been recognised by our industry with numerous awards and accolades for her contributions including roles with QLD Information Centre Association (QICA) and Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA).

Neil’s career highlights include 20 years as General Manager of Tamworth (NSW) and Hervey Bay Councils’, plus in excess of 10years as a Senior Business Consultant working with a range of business enterprise including hospitality, concrete products, lifestyle villages and residential developments plus mining.”The Rockhampton Region needs to better position itself to service local, regional and national projects including the ongoing resources boom taking place throughout the Central West and South East Corner – and we are here to assist!”

Krista Brown (nee White) is responsible for coordinating Capricorn Enterprise’s Tourism and Marketing Department, this includes destination marketing, product development, brand and communication and overseeing the regions 5 accredited Visitor Information Centres. Krista has a Bachelor of Tourism degree through CQUniversity, a Certificate IV Heritage & Interpretive Tourism, and is currently undertaking graphic design studies to extend her skills.

Ellie Tonkin is responsible for coordinating Capricorn Events’ activities in developing of the Capricorn Region as a major events and conferencing destination within Queensland.  This includes supporting existing and developing regional conference and events businesses, attracting conferences and events to the region, developing and marketing the region’s master calendar of events, and delivering community workshops and event management training.  Ellie has a background in managing arts and community events and is currently completing a Bachelor of Creative Industries through QUT.  She regularly attends and volunteers at events throughout the region.

Involved with Skills Attraction to the region, Business Excellence Awards, Mining Supply Chain and Carbon Network education, Sharyn enjoys the business community involvement her role at Capricorn Enterprise offers.  Since joining the organisation in 2008, she has managed various projects and functions, including the Rockhampton Regional Development & Ergon Energy Business Excellence Awards, and a series of successful Resource Familiarisations and Major Project Forums. The Skills Attract Program has seen her promote the region at expos in Brisbane, manage a contingent from both Rockhampton and Mackay to “New Zealand Herald Your Careers Expo” in Auckland and to the “Opportunities Australia Expo” in Johannesburg.

Deanne is responsible for film and promotional projects, maps and trails, and works as part of marketing and projects team to deliver major projects throughout the year. Deanne’s varied range of skills are in part due to her background in television production, a great addition to the Capricorn Enterprise team.

Nathan White is responsible for the updates and content for coporate and leisure websites, ATDW, STDW data, social media accounts and works as part of the marketing and projects team to deliver major projects throughout the year. Nathan has a Bachelor of Multimedia degree from CQUniversity and is the latest addition to the Marketing team.

Janelle Kerris the Financial Controller and is responsible for the organisations financial accounting and reporting. Janelle is currently completing a Bachelor of Business degree through CQU Rockhampton to extend on her accounting qualifications.

Hellen has over 35 years in the Hospitality trade in New South Wales and Queensland. After completing her certificate in Business Administration, Hellen worked for TAFE Queensland in Rockhampton and Yeppoon before starting with Capricorn Enterprise.
