Capricorn Enterprise is chartered to deliver a number of key services, including assisting with the facilitation of a strong, healthy and diverse local economy through Destination Marketing, Business Support, Visitor/Tourism Servicing and Investment Attraction. 

Capricorn Enterprise is one of Queensland’s thirteen (13) official membership based Destination Management Organisations and is recognised as the peak tourism, business and industry body for the Capricorn Region within Central Queensland and the Southern Great Barrier Reef destination.  Straddling the Tropic of Capricorn from the Keppel Islands in the east to the Central Queensland Highlands in the west, our region boasts incredible diversity in our industries and natural landscapes.

The Organisation strategically markets the Capricorn region to domestic and international consumers, trade, media and business, supports and develops industry projects, attracting large scale investment and driving the region’s economy forward. Capricorn Enterprise seeks to be recognised as a vibrant and professional organisation that delivers sound leadership to the Capricorn region’s businesses and helps drive the future development of events, business & leisure tourism in the region.

Capricorn Enterprise has a membership base of approximately 300 members coming from a wide range of sectors including accommodation, attraction and tour operators, retail & service providers, mining and industry groups, real estate agents, media, web and graphic design and many more.

These businesses have a common tie – they are committed to the development of tourism & the region’s economy within Capricorn and work closely with Capricorn Enterprise to make that happen.
